Donner Lake Properties for Sale

This is one of the most historic areas in our country and one of the oldest neighborhoods in the Truckee area, this is where the historic Donner Party made there way west so long ago. These homes flank Donner Lake on all sides. For those who prefer having a home on a smaller more quaint area Donner Lake is a great alternative. The neighborhood has a family resort feel with homes that date back in time.

The lake gets stocked with brown and rainbow trout. Natural fish in the lake are the Sierras famous and yummy Mackinaw. Jet Ski around and explore. Tahoe Donner has a wonderful corner of the Donner Lake for its members with it's own boat launch and fun beach facilities. To the East is public beach and dog friendly. My favorite spot is sand bar island, where you can swim or boat up and pitch a day camp on  a wonderful sandy beach.

The West end Beach is for members only through the HOA.

There is day use park fee of 8.- next to the homeowners to the North West on the beach where they have a great children's park  and ample beach to play.

Water skiing and wake boarding are epic, early in the morning you just go up and down the center of the lake and turn around.  Its close proximity to hwy 80 gives it easy access for second home owners located in the San Francisco Bay. Prices start in the $300K range and lakefronts can be in the multi million dollar range.
