Refrigerator Recycling Rebate Program

TDPUD and the Truckee Hometown Sears have partnered to promote recycling of older, working refrigerators to save TDPUD customers money.

  • $30 rebate applies to every qualifying refrigerator
  • Old refrigerators can use up to $300/year in electricity
  • New refrigerators typically use about $50/year in electricity
